Support for piloting
In addition to monetary and expert service-based prizes, this year we are offering piloting as a new type of prize; the owners of the selected business ideas can further develop their ideas with the support of the Business Incubator and various partners.
Start Me Up Piloting refers to measures that enable the development of a business idea into a commercial product or service. So give some thought to a business idea; do you need initial market references or genuine customer feedback? Or do you need a prototype or laboratory tests to kick start your idea? What is the next critical measure needed to move your business idea closer to commercialisation?
Through pilot funding, you can speed up product development, or redesign or develop entirely new products, services, production methods or business models. You can use the funding to test and verify the functioning of a new solution alongside the customer, or to take other business-idea development measures. A total of EUR 33,500 has been allocated to piloting the ideas of participants in the business idea competition.
The criteria for business ideas selected for piloting are the same as for the overall business idea competition. Those granted support for piloting will be announced alongside the winners of monetary prizes in May. See the rules of the competition for a more detailed description of the piloting.
